BONFIX recommends using a uniform type of fitting / pipe per closed network. If Copper and Carbon Steel pipes / fittings are combined, the installer must be able to guarantee that moisture cannot affect the system’s exterior, in any manner. If moisture is permitted to reach the outside surfaces of a combined pipe system, corrosion problems can occur due to the different potential of these materials.
